Conference and Workshop Registration

The advance registration period for the 43rd IEEE CDC has ended. It is still possible to register for the conference using the on-line system (follow the instructions below). However, registrations received after October 29, 2004 will be charged at the higher "regular" registration rates. Failure to pre-register on-line, will require that you register on-site upon your arrival at the conference. All conference attendees and workshop participants must register.

Workshop registration fees (per workshop) depend on whether or not the CDC registration fee is also paid.

The full registration fee includes admission to the welcome and farewell (50th CSS Anniversary celebration) receptions, a CD-ROM containing the conference Proceedings, and one ticket to the banquet. The Reduced Registration fee is available to students, retirees, and Life Members. The Reduced Registration fee includes everything except for the banquet ticket, which can be purchased separately when you register.

Refund Policy

Those who pre-register and later find they cannot attend the conference may request a refund of the advance registration fee(s). For requests received before the Advance Registration deadline (October 29, 2004), 100% of the fee will be refunded. Requests received between October 30, 2004 and December 7, 2004 will get a 50% refund. There will be no refunds for requests received after December 7, 2004.

Those who are absolutely unable to register using the ON-LINE registration system https://www.paperplaza.net/registration/ may contact the Conference Registration Chair, Prof. Maria Elena Valcher, for instructions.

Payment Options

The conference can only accept CREDIT CARDS (preferred), CHECKS (from a U.S. bank), and MONEY ORDERS (from a U.S. bank). Purchase orders, bon de commandes, promissory notes, bank transfers, etc., cannot be accepted.


Packet Pick-Up and On-Site Registration

Upon arrival at Atlantis:

Packet Pick-Up: Attendees who pre-registered can go to the Conference Registration Desk to pick up their Conference Packet.

On-Site Registration: Attendees who did not pre-register should go to the Conference Registration Desk to register.

The Registration Desk will be in operation during the following hours:

Substitute Presenters

If the author(s) of a paper cannot attend the conference to present their paper, it is their responsibility to find someone to present it in their place. If for some reason the author(s) cannot find a substitute presenter, they are expected to contact the Conference Program Committee Chair, Prof. Weibo Gong (gong@ecs.umass.edu), as soon as possible prior to the conference.


CSS Digital Archive

The IEEE Control Systems Society Digital Archive on DVD is being offered at the special member price of $39 (+ $5 S&H). The CSS Digital Archive contains the entire history of the IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, the Transactions on Control Systems Technology, and the Control Systems Magazine from their inception through the end of 2001. It has several features that are not available on IEEEXplore, such as author bios, references/citations hyperlinked to articles, and more. No student, teacher, or researcher in systems and control should be without this collection.

Page Overlength Fees

Regular and invited papers are allowed 6 pages in the Proceedings and short papers are allowed 2 pages in the Proceedings. Each additional page over these limits incurs a page overlength fee of $150 per page. No paper can exceed a maximum of 2 overlength pages, i.e., in no case can a regular or invited paper exceed 8 pages or a short paper exceed 4 pages. Overlength papers will NOT be published in the Proceedings unless the page overlength fees are paid.
